Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and news reporter with WPDE-TV. Then, she joined WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. While in Charleston O'Dell's reporting regarding the police's lenient approach towards DUI cases caused a State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the state authorities re-issuing an even more strict directive on the situations. It was reported that the Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years award in the entirety of South Carolina Media. O'Dell later worked at NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. O'Dell is the anchor of choice at Access Hollywood. In addition she has contributed for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She covered events such as The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She also co-hosted The Miss USA pageant as well as the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
